Sasha Rogers’ large acrylic canvases tell the story of harmonic skyscapes, where sky and water meet. Powdery and stained surfaces feel Rothko-like, and subtle chromatic shifts are applied to create a sense of peace and reverence. Rogers has won numerous awards, including most outstanding Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. She received her Masters of Painting in 1987 from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, and she won the highest distinction given for outstanding research in the visual arts. Rogers’s work is held in numerous public and private collections in North America, Europe and Australia.
