About the Work
Ribbons and latticed shapes of polished stainless steel in this outdoor sculpture, when seen from below, glint sharply and offer a contrast to the movement of ephemeral clouds they represent. On a duller day, the swirls match the steel grey of the sky. Biczysko obtained her MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. She has exhibited in, coordinated and curated many exhibitions over the past 25 years. Her work appears in collections in Argentina, Canada, France, Monaco, Norway, Poland, the UK and the US. She has completed commissions of her work and environmental design at the Royal Ontario Museum, Casino Windsor, Mohawk Raceway in Milton and For Erie, Humber Cinemas and more.
