About the Work
This tragicomic depiction of a moose plummeting from a cliff merges playful, pop art inspired elements with deeply iconic Canadian imagery. The steel moose silhouette sculptures have been installed across Canada. Two are on the University of Toronto campus. Pachter is an Officer of the Order of Canada, a Chevalier of France’s Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, and a recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee medal.
