About Pink Flag

A Canadian flag flies smartly from the top of a grey-green pole that swoops into the centre of a flat, taffy pink sky.

In this painting, the artist merges playful even irreverent elements including colour with deeply iconic imagery. Pop art inspired, the work celebrates and elevates popular, media filtered imagery. It is a unique political work from an admired Canadian artistic polymath.
