Two months remaining for artist submissions to The Salt Spring National Art Prize (SSNAP). Deadline is May 31st, 2017. SSNAP is in its second year and is offering $30,000 in awards.
Artist Simon Andrew has recently been featured by Artnet as an Artist On View alongside Richard Tuttle, Hans Hoffman, and Elizabeth Osborne, among others. Special mention was also made of our current exhibition, Simon Andrews / Daniel Hughes, which is on view until April 30th, 2017.
Alice Teichert’s latest exhibition, Between the Lines, will take place in the Kunsthalle, the contemporary wing of the St. Annen-Museum in Lübeck, Germany, from June 18 to October 15, 2017. The St. Annen-Museum is one of the most unique museums in Germany.
The Varley Art Gallery in Markham, ON, is hosting a solo exhibition of work by Paul Fournier, on until April 23rd. Fournier’s career spans more than 50 years, with his paintings and graphics exhibiting throughout Canada, the United States and Europe, as well as being included in many major public collections, including the National Gallery of Canada, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Tate Museum, as well as in private collections in the United States, South America and Europe.
Oeno Gallery invites artists to submit proposals for the Sculpture Garden’s 6th exhibition year. Sculptures must be original, durable, and safe for viewing by the public in an unsupervised natural area. Congratulations to artist Shayne Dark on his recent commission for Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.'s Corporate Art Collection. The sculpture, 'Torrential Series – Blue,' is meant to stimulate a visceral reaction in the viewer, evoking contrasts between urban settings and the natural world.
