Biography

Anne O’Callaghan was born in Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 1968. A multi-media and performance artist whose work encompasses photo-based work and site specific sculpture, O'Callaghan earned a BFA from York University, Toronto.

Since 1981, O’Callaghan’s work has been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Ontario, Europe and Asia. In 2017-18, she took part in Impermanence, an exhibition on fragility at B#Side Gallery in Treviso, Italy and in Art in the Time of Exchange at the Kunst Keller Krefeld in Krellfer, Germany. O’Callaghan’s work has been reviewed in Canadian Art Magazine, The Globe and Mail, Espace and Sculpture Magazine. O'Callaghan's work is held in private and corporate collections.

"I spend my time split between a downtown urban environment and a rural environment. My work is generated from my daily experiences and observations within these two environments.
