Calgary artist Aron Hill’s newest work continues to explore a theme inspired by the sun. Bright colours— purple and blue arched shapes under a bright yellow sun draw the eye across the canvas. Three jet black rocks anchor the composition. Conceptually, Hill’s work finds company in the art of the famed abstract painter Jack Bush.
"The sun is a central element of my work. It serves as the guiding light to the layers of experience translated onto canvas.” Aron Hill
Hill obtained a BFA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Alberta College of Art and Design and their MFA from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2006. They have exhibited across Canada and in Dubai. Hill’s work is held in private and corporate collections.
