For Calgary artist Aron Hill the sun is often a focal point for their fresh, boldly coloured minimalist paintings. This composition in deep blue, forest green, hot pink and bright yellow is one of a series of new abstract works. Conceptually, Hill finds company in the art of the famed abstract painter Jack Bush.
"The sun is a central element of my work. It serves as the guiding light to the layers of experience translated onto canvas.” Aron Hill
Hill obtained a BFA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Alberta College of Art and Design and their MFA from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2006. They have exhibited across Canada and in Dubai. Hill’s work is held in private and corporate collections.
