No 2 Red and White Blocks Aron Hill

A flat, ice-white boat shape dances with a split red polygon in this playful minimalist acrylic on linen by Aron Hill. A black shadow gives depth to the composition that is completed by a curated string of magenta. There are four paintings in this grouping by the artist. Hill works in the late modernist traditions of concept and minimalism emphasizing the viewer's participation in the work. Hill obtained a BFA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Alberta College of Art and Design and their MFA from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2006. Hill has exhibited across Canada and in Dubai. Their work is held in private and corporate collections.
