Bright colours and bold form characterize the dramatic work of Aron Hill.
The Calgary-based artist often uses a yellow sun, and clean, geometric shapes to create a pop art landscape. In this acrylic and ink painting, orange, pink and taupe contrast with jet black. Hill is known for their fresh and playful compositions—conceptually inspired by the art of the famed modernist Jack Bush.
“The sun is a central element of my work. It serves as the guiding light to the layers of experience translated onto canvas.” Aron Hill
