‘A little black in every room,’ is the classic mantra of modern décor. This stunning abstract table top sculpture by Claude Millette in a glossy black finish will draw the viewer’s attention in any space. Known for his playful and imaginative work, the Quebec artist likes to challenge our perception of balance and imbalance. The stacked cubes of the Effervescence series resemble tumbling dice.
“Resolutely non-figurative, my creations are not strictly abstract: from the moment the gesture expresses an emotion or a reflection, the work is already imbued with sensitivity.” Claude Millette
Born in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Millette studied at the École de sculpture de Saint-Jean-Port-Joli and apprenticed with sculptors Robert Poulin and Jordi Bonet. Millette's works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
