About Effervescence White VI

The word effervescence means ‘forming bubbles. ‘This playful, striking sculpture by Claude Millette conveys that sense of energy. In form it appears much like tumbling dice that have been stacked. Coated in a glossy white finish, the work is wholly contemporary. The Quebec artist is known for his imaginative abstract work that plays with the viewer’s perception of balance and imbalance. One of a series.

“The organic and the geometric are juxtaposed, meet and stare at each other.” Claude Millette

Born in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Millette studied at the École de sculpture de Saint-Jean-Port-Joli and apprenticed with sculptors Robert Poulin and Jordi Bonet. Millette's works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
