About the Work
The highly realized trompe l'oeil technique adds an element of mystery to the Dmitry Yuzefovich painting, Red Phone. There are letters and numbers urgently sketched on the decaying wall and a multitude of notes stuck to the wall - presumably, these are messages captured and recorded from the red phone. The red phone with the cable that leaves the painting's plane, it may or may not be connected.
