For those of us who are old enough to remember typing classes in school, this image will strike a nostalgic chord—a classic Underwood typewriter. Dmitry Yuzefovich’s realistic oil paintings capture a moment in time. This composition features a red typewriter sitting on its forest-green carrying case. The worn brown wood floor beneath it; the background a dilapidated wall in soft white and yellow paint.
“I continue to use my realistic style because I believe in the details. Details is a God. Details talk to people. My realistic style is my language.” Dmitry Yuzefovich
He obtained a BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Israel in 2000 and an MFA in 2005. He moved to Canada with his family in 2015 and lives in Nova Scotia.
