In simple, elegant detail, Francis Lipari has captured a scene played out on farms across the country—a transport truck parked beside a large grain elevator ready to accept its cargo. The Montreal artist’s palette—thinned out washes of colour in white, grays, blues, browns and black punctuated by a touch of deep red accentuate the clean lines of the structure and the serenity of the landscape. His paintings are traditionally inspired by his love of nature. His landscapes and architectural elements are minimal—uncluttered exposing simple beauty.

He was born in 1959 in Montreal and attended the University of Quebec in Montreal where he acquired a business degree and majored in marketing. He had a successful career as an art director for a graphic design and advertising firm. F. Lipari began painting full time in his early fifties.. His work is collected in both the U.S. and Canada.
