A delicately patterned leaf is caught up in the wind in this elegant steel sculpture by Canadian artist, Floyd Elzinga. From his studio on the Niagara escarpment, Elzinga creates playful pieces that merge pop art and iconic images from the Canadian landscape. “The natural world is fundamentally my inspiration, and it is strongly reflected in my subject matter.” Floyd Elzinga His sculptures have been featured as part of Toronto’s Scotiabank Nuit Blanche celebration of contemporary art, and his work is held in collections across Ontario and in the US. Floyd Elzinga received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in Halifax, NS.
