Clutching a pear, an ancient symbol of abundance, longevity and fertility, a deer man…half animal, half human is one of a new series of tabletop sculptures by Gillie and Marc. Cast in bronze, the handsome deer man is seated, legs crossed, a bright yellow pear in his hand. Their popular hybrid sculptures are playful but love and an appreciation for the spiritual connection that humans share with animals is always part of the story. (Edition 19 of 25—painted in gold on the sculpture)
