The natural world inspires the beautiful organic shapes of artist Jana Osterman. This bronze patinated winterstone wall sculpture is polished with a protective wax giving it a light sheen. This work is the artist's proof from an edition of 10; one of a series of three. Using a variety of materials including cast aluminum, copper and plaster, the artist creates biomorphic themed wall reliefs.
Born in Slovenia, Jana Osterman moved to Holland where she studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. She continued with printmaking studies in England. For the last 20 years, Osterman has worked as a full time artist and fabricator in Canada, first in Toronto and now in Prince Edward County, Ontario. Using a variety of materials including cast aluminum, copper and plaster, the artist creates biomorphic themed wall reliefs. Osterman’s artworks, including public commissions, are held in collections in Canada, Slovenia, Germany, England and Dubai. This work is the Artist's Proof from an edition of 10.
