About Zephyr Minor 6/50

Smooth surfaced, black granite flecked almost imperceptibly with copper and white has been engineered into an elegant ribbon in tangible contrast to its weight. This work has a steel substructure and sits on an aluminum base. The work is aptly titled Zephyr, or gentle breeze, a word derived from the ancient Greek zephuros, the name for the God of the West Wind. As such this sculpture echoes the graceful, bent form into which some northern Canadian pines will grow if exposed to the persistent west wind.

This sculpture is in an Edition 6/50. The brushed metal base shown measures 14 L x 10.5 W x 1 H inches.

Sculpture can be mounted in three different options, either onto a 1" high aluminum or a 2.5" high composite stone base. These are fixed to the sculpture. No additional cost. This piece is a commission, please allow 4 weeks for creation and then time for delivery.

A plinth up to 40" in height with a 14" x 14" footprint, in either black granite or white marble composite stone, can be made at an additional cost of $1500. The sculpture is mounted onto a round pin connecting sculpture to plinth so it can be turned in situ. Plinth weight approx 60kg. The sculpture and plinth are separate for ease of shipping and installation.
