About Flame Symmetry

Red glass and copper vertical wall sculpture. Abstracted sculptural representation of the colours of autumn reflected in the lake. This work, with three glass elements, is a contemporary and abstract interpretation of fire. The red glass reflects on the wall and the shadows become a part of the piece. This is made of copper fused to glass. The work can be mounted into drywall. Brackets are also provided for mounting onto other surfaces. Sculptor John Paul Robinson uses glass and metal to build metaphorical symbols of time, space, earth, fire and water. He has exhibited internationally and has works in important public collections throughout Canada and the US, including the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery. His works are in The Museum of Civilization (Ottawa), the Musee des Beaux Arts (Montreal), and the Museum of American Glass (Millville). Robinson is represented exclusively by Oeno Gallery.
