Himel, a devoted environmentalist, is known for her inventive use of colour and her dream-like paintings of nature. “It’s called saving calendars for that sweet emotion of wanting to mark an event and remember it forever.” Julie Himel She completed a BFA at York University with additional studies at the Toronto School of Art and Langara College in Vancouver.
