About the Work
The title of this work has layers of meaning, both literal and metaphoric. Literally, the material science of the “plastic deformation of steel” shows us that steel is transformed at a molecular level and cannot be returned to its original form. This material can act as a metaphor for human beings, who are formed and transformed by experience, from which there is no return.
