About the Work
A young woman in shorts, tank top and socks wearing an antler like branch in her hair and a harness attached to a crate on her back is created from cast resin and steel. The crate with barred openings is for a small animal. The woman's countenance and posture appear resigned to a helpless and captured condition which is a poignant theme in Crombach's work. Crombach graduated from OCAD University’s Sculpture and Installation program in 2012. He is currently an artist in residence at The Florence Trust in London, UK.
