Orange Edge Otto Rogers

An olive-green rectangular form appears to be pinned to a field of deep burnt orange by black peg-like forms in this abstracted landscape by Otto Rogers. Organic masses in browns, greens, and reds emerge from the bottom of the field and a speckled raw canvas is revealed in the top right betraying evidence of the artist's process. Orange Edge is composed of a multitude of fine layers and textures that project through to the surface creating a luminosity and guiding one's eye through the different forms.
