About Cedar
A lone cedar stands tall and proud in this nostalgic painting by Peter Hoffer. His classical style is reminiscent of the famed landscapes of Constable but the Canadian artist adds texture to the work by scarring it and finishing it with layer upon layer of shiny resin. The colour palette is muted—green against a wash of pastels.This piece pairs well with any of the other tree paintings created by Hoffer.

He holds an MFA. from Concordia University and degrees from the University of Guelph and OCAD University. Hoffer has lived and worked in Toronto, New York City, Paris, Montreal and Berlin. He has exhibited widely at art fairs in Basel, Toronto, New York, Stockholm, London, Milan, Amsterdam and Hong Kong. His paintings are held in many private, corporate and public collections.
