About the Work
Der Wald or The Forest consists of nine wood block prints in a single portfolio. In each of the nine images a single tree is printed cleanly in solid black on manila colored archival art paper. The trees -- tall, short, high or low on the page, conifer or deciduous -- are unique and as a set create an elegant, introspective inquiry on the characteristics, even the personalities, of trees. Edition 10/12; all nine prints are framed.
