Every angle is made visible in the three polygonal boulder shapes constructed of steel tube in this outdoor sculpture installation. This minimalist sculpted grouping was conceived as a contemporary reference to a monolithic composition of glacial erratics. The forces that produced erratics, stones shaped and carried often hundreds of kilometers away by ice, intersect with another force of nature, plate tectonics, that are responsible for linear cracks in the ocean floor called fracture zones. Dark's work is in included in public and private collections including Queen's University, Canada Council Art Bank, Canadian Embassy in Prague, City of Ottawa public Art Program, Federal Communications Commission, New York. He has received six Ontario Arts Council grants, and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant amongst other awards. Dark has exhibited widely in the US and Canada as well as in Spain and Greece. A documentary on Dark's life and work, titled Artist in the Round premiered on the Discovery Channel HD Theatre in 2004.
