The sensual curves of this glossy white fibreglass sculpture emulate the human form in this stunning new piece by Canadian multidisciplinary artist, Tim Forbes. As you walk around ‘Nude,’ it almost appears to breathe. From his seaside studio in Nova Scotia, Forbes continues to create unique sculpture, paintings and photographs.
“A belief in the social necessity of art and its value well beyond the whimsy of popular culture has inspired much of Forbes' inventive career.” – No3 Magazine, New York.
After completing studies at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax, a talented young Forbes established a graphic design studio and moved to Toronto, ON. Over the years, his corporate clients have included a prestigious list--the Body Shop, Rogers and Rolls Royce. As part of a redesign of the flagship hotel for the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Hotel chain, Forbes created more than 40 original pieces including several paintings. Other recent Toronto commissions include "Leloop," a stainless-steel sculpture for Daniel Libeskind’s Toronto L Tower, "Power" created for a terrace in the Hariri Pontarini-designed Massey Tower in Toronto and “Cloud," a large porcelain white sculpture engineered to float in a pool on the rooftop terrace of The Art Shoppe condo. Forbes work is held in many private and corporate collections.
