The richness of this gorgeous palette—a mix of jewel tones--gold, white and sapphire is striking in this abstract composition by Adam Cohen. Known for his lush application of layer upon layer of acrylic paint, the American artist adds dimension and texture to his work by cutting through the thick impasto while the pigments are still wet.

He acquired a BFA at Philadelphia’s Tyler School of Art and lived and painted in Rome for a year. After many successful years as an illustrator, he returned to his first love--painting. Adam Cohen lives and paints in the Catskills, NY. He has exhibited extensively in the US, Europe, Asia and most recently in Amsterdam and Venice.
