About Blue Chain
This large glossy blue contemporary sculpture was created by Alexander Caldwell. The Calgary artist has garnered an international reputation for creating superbly crafted, unique pieces. He is known for his inspired colour palette and the simple, dynamic form of his work—this sculpture has three chain links standing upright. Caldwell selects vivid colours that accentuate the minimalist form. Several coats of industrial paint are applied over time to yield a perfect reflective finish.“… The colour that transforms the industrial origins of my materials has become so important to the simpler shapes of my new work that it’s as if the metal has become an armature for the paint. “ Alexander Caldwell
