A flood of shimmering cobalt blue rises from strips of brilliant lemon yellow and turquoise, highlighted with dynamic marks and lines in black and red-orange in this horizontal canvas. The artist works with thin layers of acrylic gel and pigment to produce a glossy, jewel-like surface interspersed with calligraphic and musical notations, which she refers to as visual poetry."Over the course of creating these paintings, a visual notation slowly unfolds into its own form of resonance like ripples of language dancing in space, water and time." ~ Alice Teichert
