This minimalist black and white painting by Aron Hill is simply elegant. Often inspired by organic shapes found in nature, the Calgary artist has rendered the silhouette of a tree in white; its dynamic form accentuated by a jet-black archway. Hill’s work finds company in the paintings created by modernists like Jack Bush.

They obtained a BFA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Alberta College of Art and Design and their MFA from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2006. They have exhibited across Canada and in Dubai. Hill’s work is held in private and corporate collections.
