This graphic-based painting of an aqua polygon on a round, white panel is rimmed with gold leaf.Calgary artist Aron Hill is known for their bold, colourful, and minimalist contemporary paintings. In this piece, an organic shape in aqua blue is intersected with a single white line. Hill's work recalls the minimalist and shaped colour field paintings of the American master Ellsworth Kelly. Aron Hill obtained a BFA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Alberta College of Art and Design and an MFA from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2006. They have exhibited across Canada and in Dubai. Hill’s work is held in private and corporate collections.
