About Ocean

Brazilian born Benny Katz loved to draw as a child. He became a commercial graphic designer before he devoted himself to creating artwork. This dynamic sculpture—stacked glossy white ovals adorned with blue, green and black dots symbolizes ocean waves. The ideas for his playful, colourful modern pieces still begin with a sketch. This work is number 2 in an edition of 9.

After graduating from the graphic design program at Technion in Tel Aviv in 2000, Katz pursued a career in commercial design. At the same time, he developed a practice in conceptual art working in sculpture and painting. Katz’s artworks are held in many private collections worldwide.
