About Daffodils
Canadian pop artist Charles Pachter has chosen to showcase flowers in his next series of paintings. Historically, depicting flowers in art was made famous by the Impressionists. In Pachter’s ‘Daffodils,’ the eye is drawn to the delicate yellow and white buds in a simple vase highlighted by the brilliant royal blue of the background. The shadow of the flowers adds dimension. Daffodils are one of the first flowers to emerge in spring and as such symbolize life and new beginnings.A painter, printmaker, sculptor, designer and author, Charles Pachter is a graduate of the University of Toronto and the Sorbonne-Paris. He is an Officer of the Order of Canada, a Chevalier of France's Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, and twice a recipient of the Queen's Jubilee medal.Framed size is 19 x 25 inches.
