About Antique Bowl
This realistic oil painting is a still life of a blue antique bowl. His timeless artwork is reminiscent of the old masters. Ciba Karisik’s paintings are evocative portraits rendered in rich colour palettes enhanced by a masterful use of light and shadow. This highly regarded artist created a series of still lifes—simple objects that take on a more significant meaning giving their dramatic treatment. This beautiful ceramic bowl has a deep blue exterior and a golden interior that catches the light. Set against a dark burgundy background, the bowl, centered in the frame, commands attention.
“My paintings are symbolic, experimental and nostalgic, telling eloquent stories of humanity. They are deliberate statements against the impersonality of our ephemeral world. I would like the viewer to pause, consider, and behold timeless objects that keep our memories and communicate messages across time.”
