Floyd Elzinga’s beautiful pine cone sculptures emulate the organic shape, texture and form of the natural object. Inspired by nature, Elzinga’s iconic pieces are hand forged from weathering steel and will naturally continue to acquire a realistic patina over time. This piece features a pine cone attached to a branch that looks as if it had just fallen from a tree.

His pinecone sculptures have been featured as part of Toronto’s Scotiabank Nuit Blanche celebration of contemporary art, and his work is held in collections across Ontario and in the US. Elzinga received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in Halifax, NS.
