About They only read love stories 20/50

Captured reading books, this contemporary bronze figurative sculpture is by Gillie and Marc.

The British/Australian artistic duo of Gillie and Marc’s humorous bronze sculptures have charmed the world. Their own animal/human hybrid couple—dogman and rabbitwoman are captured here on a park bench, dressed, one sitting, the other resting his head on her knee, books in hand. The two are intended to represent the close human-animal connection many of us share. Edition 20 of 50. Price is in USD.

“There’s something incredibly romantic about being able to sit in the sun and read quietly with the one you love. Rabbitwoman and Dogman devoured books, old and new, snuggled comfortably against each other all the while.”
Gillie and Marc

The artistic couple enjoy a rare partnership as they are married and have worked together as artists for more than 25 years. Gillie and Marc are passionate environmental activists who have used their sculptures, paintings, and photographs to celebrate and save endangered animals.
Every year they donate thousands of dollars earned from their art sales to many international animal charities they support through their project ‘Love the Last.’ Among their many accolades they’ve received the Allens People's Choice Award in 2016 and 2018, the Kids' Choice Award at the 2016 Sculpture by the Sea, and the Bayside Arts Festival People's Choice Award in 2019. Gillie and Marc’s work is exhibited and sold throughout the world.
