In his Toronto studio, Ivo Stoyanov recalls the ephemeral beauty of nature and re-imagines it in his unique abstract mixed media compositions.
This lively piece in a vivid blue against an expressive backdrop of white and black is made from a combination of acrylic paint, marble dust and cold wax. Stoyanov’s method creates a lush visible texture that enhances the geometric forms. One of a series.

Ivo Stoyanov received a master’s degree in Mural Painting from the Fine Arts Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria (1990). Stoyanov has been commissioned to create major mural projects in the US, Bulgaria and Canada. His artwork is collected in the US, Canada, Japan, the UK, China, the United Arab Emirates, Spain and Bulgaria.
