About Embrace 52

This contemporary abstract black stone sculpture is by Jeremy Guy.

Jeremy Guy’s sublime limited edition sculptures are collected in both private and public collections around the world. Known for his refined, elegant designs and superb craftsmanship, Guy’s sculptures are handmade from engineered stone.

“Over many years I have developed an engineered stone composite material to enable my creative concepts and produce high quality, unique and accessible work. This material is a combination of crushed marble or black granite (Canadian ‘absolute black’ granite) mixed with a resin.”

Embrace is Guy’s moving and lyrical abstract representation of a human embrace created from engineered black granite. Two gently curved forms are intertwined in this sculpture that is limited to an edition of 50. The smooth surface is highly polished so that it naturally reflects light. Each piece is cast in a mold so subtle changes can be made that make each signed sculpture quite unique.

Available on commission. Please allow 6 - 8 weeks upon completion. Supplied with a flat steel base 25 × 25 cm / 10” × 10” in.

“My work conveys a sense of balance and peace as I strive to seek a seemingly impossible equilibrium between the simple elegance and dynamic complexity of the world in which we live." Jeremy Guy

Jeremy Guy was born and raised in a small town in West Yorkshire, England. A fine art major, in 2001, he graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with an Honours BA in Product Design.
