About Mobius H3 13/50
Jeremy Guy’s series of elegant contemporary sculptures called Mobius are created from rich black granite. Smooth-surfaced and subtly flecked with copper and white, the form—a Möbius strip is a mathematical construct—a surface with only one side and one boundary first discovered by August Ferdinand Möbius, a German Mathematician.(You can create your own Möbius strip by taking a strip of paper, giving it a half twist and joining the ends to form a loop.) Guy’s work is inspired by the renowned modernist
sculptors from Britain—Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore.
This sculpture is number 13 in an edition of 50 and can be purchased on a commission basis. Please allow 8 - 12 weeks before shipping. The plinth measures 39 x 14 x 14 inches. The sculpture measures 39 x 15 x 8 inches. The sculpture is mounted onto a round pin connecting it to the plinth so it can be turned in situ. The plinth weight is approx. 200lbs.
