About Mobius H6 Mirror Polished Stainless Steel

Jeremy Guy’s large contemporary outdoor sculpture called ‘Mobius’ is hand-forged from stainless steel; its abstract form is based on a mathematical concept. For the British-born artist this is a favourite design—elegant and bodacious, the curves of Mobius resemble the fluid form of a Mobius strip. It’s a surface that has only one side and one boundary discovered in the mid-19th century by August Ferdinand Mobius, a German mathematician. The design of Guy’s stainless steel sculptures have been digitally optimized to perfection and are expertly crafted. The steel finish is highly polished so that the surface reflects light and mirrors its surroundings. Guy’s sculptures grace the grounds of many public places the world over. One in a series.

"As I work I am acutely aware that nature champions great design. From the shaping of a beach pebble, via eons of erosion, to the waves found in desert sand, I am often awestruck by the beauty created by natural physics. “
