This abstract figurative sculpture is made of engineered black granite by Jeremy Guy.

The elegant and timeless sculptural work of Jeremy Guy has awarded him international acclaim. He is known for his classic designs, often inspired by a love of the simplicity of mid-century design. Repose is one of the sculptures in his figurative series. Created from engineered black granite, the lyrical lines of this piece emulate the form of a reclining human figure. The surface of the granite is highly polished to a velvety smooth finish that naturally reflects light.
The positive and negative spaces in the sculpture are reminiscent of his influences—the famous British modernist sculptors Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. Limited to an edition of 10, available by commission.

Jeremy Guy was born and raised in a small town in West Yorkshire, England. A fine art major, in 2001, he graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with an Honours BA in Product Design. His sculptures are collected across three continents in both public and private spaces.
