About Rise 5/50

This contemporary abstract indoor sculpture is made from granite by Jeremy Guy.

The elegance of this Canadian artist’s design is elevated by the use of a piece of rich black granite engineered to create this sculpture. Jeremy Guy’s masterful work reflects his reverence for organic, natural shapes. The stone’s surface is highly polished to a smooth finish. Early in his career, Guy’s contemporary form and style were naturally inspired by the work of famed British sculptors—Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth.

This sculpture is numbered in an edition of 50 and can be purchased on a commission basis. Please allow 8 - 12 weeks before shipping.

The sculpture connects to the plinth via a steel pin, allowing it to rotate independently.

If interested in replacing the plinth, there are available options in the following custom finishes for an additional cost:
½” thick painted black steel
1” thick brushed aluminum
3” thick engineered stone
For example a 12" H × 12" W x 12" D or 12" H × 14" W x 14" D footprint is approx. $2,000 for the first 12" in height, dependant on materials, plus $1,000 for each additional 12" inches.

"As I work, I am acutely aware that nature champions great design. From the shaping of a beach pebble, via eons of erosion, to the waves found in desert sand, I am often awestruck by the beauty created by natural physics. “
