About The Anatomy of Presence

The Anatomy of Presence stands as a striking and contemplative human-scale sculpture, at once monumental and deeply intimate. Crafted by a collective of professional artists, this living work is woven by hand from intricate willow branches, their supple forms gently bent and intertwined around an underlying metal form. The figure’s serene face, forged from stainless steel, lends the piece a peaceful sensibility. At its center, where the hands are folded on the chest, a luminous circle of transparent red glass evokes the human heart—a symbol of compassion and courage. The artists envision the sculpture as more than an object; they invite viewers to encounter themselves within it, reflected in its quiet presence.

Kadiform is an artistic studio with more than 25 years of experience crafting metal-based sculptural structures. Working in collaboration with a strong network of sculptor artists, engineers and others the studio now creates unique artworks that blend horticulture and sculpture. They specialize in ‘living sculpture –a sculpted form of topiary in which thousands of plants are arranged on metal frameworks to create intricate, often large scale figures such as animals or even entire scenes.’ The studio has completed numerous private and public commissions.
