Biography
(b.1948, Finland) Tapanainen creates intricate and highly entertaining digital collages. Figures are originally drawn from life using hand cut carbon paper pasted onto a kraft substrate, then digitally captured and integrated with collage elements to express personal memories and associations. Final pieces are limited edition prints, produced with pigment-based archival inks on museum-quality watercolour paper.
