About Singing Bowl Gold Shimmer - Small
This gold coloured metal indoor sculpture was inspired by traditional singing bowls.Canadian artist Marlene Hilton Moore is highly regarded for creating provocative and meaningful sculptural artwork. This small-sized stainless steel bowl’s design is based on traditional singing bowls often used in meditation practices. The metal bowl vibrates when touched so that the sound resonates with the body’s energy restoring balance and harmony. Coated in a glossy gold, this series is intended to explore themes of sound, communication, and the art of ‘listening. The singing bowls come in four sizes—small, medium, Large and Extra-Large. Displayed together they make a dynamic grouping.
“The perfect hemisphere of the bowl, the inclusive reality of the circle, and the richness of the metals and their reflective glow ground this (exhibition) in the meditative moment – listen – center oneself – heal.” Marlene Hilton Moore
