Like long arms, two vertical copper pipes topped by bronze cast hands emerge from the ground. The hands clutch a short horizontal pipe engraved with words: I yearn to melt into the universe threaded into the fabric of being woven so tightly I am seamless. This literal and figurative "hand rail" is a poetic contemplation. The viewer is invited to pause and consider the words. In 2014 Hilton Moore received the City of Barrie’s Excellence in Arts Award. In 2010 Hilton Moore retired from her professorship at the School of Design and Visual Art, Georgian College following a distinguished 25-year teaching career.
