About Archibald

This contemporary figurative tabletop sculpture is by Paul Duval.

This charming series of indoor sculptures showcases Quebec artist Paul Duval’s skill in capturing the human ‘condition’ in simple form.
Each clay-coloured paper mache and wire sculpture possesses a distinctive personality expressed in a pose, a gesture, a mood. In this piece, a single male figure sits, head turned, his hands resting behind him on the surface of a rock. The addition of a rock adds natural texture and colour.

“The representation of the body is the basis of my artistic approach.” Paul Duval
