About Gaspard

This contemporary figurative tabletop sculpture is by Paul Duval.

This charming series of indoor sculptures showcases Quebec artist Paul Duval’s skill in capturing the human ‘condition’ in simple form. Each clay-coloured paper mache and wire sculpture possesses a distinctive personality expressed in a pose, a gesture, a mood. In this piece, Gaspard sits, head turned, his hands resting on one leg. He appears to be deep in thought. A rock acts as a pedestal adding natural texture and colour.

“I think my work represents and distinguishes humans with a capital ‘H’.” Paul Duval
